Cette semaine c'est à l'artiste canadien de House/ Techno James Teej que je vais m'intéresser.
James est très proche du label Rekids et de My Favorite Robot Records.
James Teej is a 29 year old Canadian born electronic music artist, producer and DJ currently residing in Toronto. With a career that already spans over 14 years and with over 15 years of professional music training, James has been a die hard dedicated music enthusiast for all things electronic, and is fast becoming one of Canada’s rising influential faces in the global underground music scene.
In 2008, James began releasing his innovative sound to the world on a long list of respected recording labels, including Rekids, My Favorite Robot Records, Rebirth, No.19 Music, Noir, TicTacToe and Connect Four Records. Through these projects, and through those set to be released in 2010, James has proven to be a highly versatile music producer.
Constantly pushing sonic boundaries, all the while exploring the deepest recesses of house and techno, his music has been enjoyed the world over, and has been used as highly creative fuel for an ever expanding list of remixers, from some of the industry’s most respected artists. This list, which already includes such talents as the Wighnomy Bros, Affkt & Fiddo, Ripperton, Spencer Parker, Jamie Jones, Motorcitysoul, continues to grow and has resulted in some truly amazing musical fusions, something that James is deeply passionate about.
As well, with highly successful remixes for such artists as Trentemoller, Toby Tobias, Kenny Glasgow, My Favorite Robot, Patrick Zigon, and many more, James has also become a highly sought after remixer for labels of all shapes and sizes around the world.
With track support from the worlds top DJs and producers, a list that already includes such inspirational veterans such as Laurent Garnier, Radio Slave, Robert Owen, Carl Cox, Danny Tenaglia, Osunlade, Steve Lawler, Peter Kruder (Kruder & Dormeister), as well as some of the most influential new talents such as Jamie Jones, Seth Troxler, Sasse, Phonogenic, Spencer Parker, Motorcitysoul, and many many more. With this amazing level of worldwide support, James looks to continue this journey creating highly emotive music, music that will continue to touch people the world over, in clubs, on the radio, or at home, across borders, and cultures. It is with this continued genuine enthusiasm and deep artistic dedication that James will extend this success.
2010 looks to be James’ most anticipated year of releases, which will include his debut LP ‘Evening Harvest’ set to be released on Rekids in April, as well as follow ups to his 2009 summer hit ‘Spending Life’ on Rebirth Records, and a slew of singles and EPs on highly respected labels such as Ripperton’s Perspectiv imprint alongside fellow Toronto producer Jonny White, Toronto based My Favorite Robot Records, No.19 Music, Composite, Parquet and many more. With these, and the music that he continues to create, James Teej is carving out his own place in electronic music.
And finally with touring that has already enabled James to perform internationally in some of the World’s most respected clubs, James is continuing to expand his career spreading his music to the farthest reaches, and ultimately sharing his music with the people he has always been so dedicated to... the listener.
