WAS : To begin with, can you introduce yourself ?
Danny : Hello, I’m Danny Broddle, along with Emilie we run Passarella Death Squad.
Emilie : Bonjour je m'appelle Emilie Albisser.

WAS : Can you explain how did you come to make music and how did you two meet ?
D. : In 2002 I started writing some beats and bass tones loops on a Roland 303 Groovebox machine and thought it would be a good idea to try and set some singing to it so I placed an advert looking for a singer for ‘dark electronic noise’ and Emilie answered it.
E. : J'ai répondu à une annonce qui recherchait une chanteuse à la Marlene Dietrich et j'ai rencontré Danny au Pub.

WAS : What is the musical style you find the nearest to yours ?
D. : We’ve been called ‘Dark, dark, techno soul noir’ and also ‘witch-house????’
so I’m not sure about which musical style is nearest to ours, you best decide…

WAS : Which artist(s) inspires you ?
D. : Hundreds of artists inspire us, Cocteau Twins, New Order, Siouxsie & The Banshees, The Velvet Underground through to a lot of electronic acts.
We recently made this dj set which features quite a few of the artists past and present that inspire us…

WAS : What does it feel to be supported by names such as Chloé, James Holden or Tiga ... ?
D. : Great, very cool, we’re big fans of Chloé and James Holden
quite a few DJ’s have said nice things about us, Tiga, Troy Pierce, DJ Hell, Carl Cox amongst others.

WAS : And what do you do when you do not make music ?
D. : Design and make clothing.
E. : Je m'occupe de notre marque avec Danny, je rêve aux prochaines vacances et je lis des livres de science fiction.

WAS : Can you tell me about your clothes brand ?
D. : We started the clothing side of Passarella around the same time as the music, so around 8 years ago now, we import all our fabric from Japan and manufacture in London.
We’re perhaps best known for our T-shirts with their provocative imagery, stores around the world in cities such as London, Paris, New York, Tokyo carry our collections.
full collection and stockists can be viewed here http://www.passarella.co.uk/

WAS : Do you remember the first time you played ? Which date is your best musical memory ?
D. : We’ve only played twice before, the first time only last year in March (pictures here).
Next month we’re playing in Milan and Rome, so hopefully that will give us our best musical memory.

WAS : Do you have any plans for the future you would like to tell us about ?
D. There's a remix EP coming out soon and we’re working hard on getting the second album completed this year

WAS : Do you have any resolutions for 2011 ?
E. : Non rien de particulier, être plus aventureuse peut-être.

WAS : The last but not the least... Anything to add ?
D. : Thank you. x
E. : Moins de haine, plus d'amour.
